Minnesota relatives

My Grandma Florence's cousins from Minnesota came out to visit, and we had a lovely dinner at my Mom and Dad's.

I peeked around the corner and found Wyatt, just sitting in the living room by himself, reading a book. SO cute!, I just had to take a picture from my vantage point in the kitchen..........

......and then HE spotted ME!!!!!! :)

A Day in North Idaho

We went up to Bonners Ferry on Saturday for Grace's graveside memorial. It was nice to see several family members we haven't seen in a while, as well as meet some I hadn't had the chance to meet. There was a pot luck at the convention grounds afterwords.

Beckett had a great time playing with his new friend, Damon. They are only a few months apart, but they could easily almost pass as brothers!

On our way home, we stopped in Sandpoint and the boys went swimming with Leon's family. We also took a little time to walk around and window shop in Sandpoint before heading back. Its so fun and festive up there in the summer....Leon and I decided we definitely need to get back up there while its still warm.

Mom and Dad traded their AZ condo for a long weekend at a cabin on Lake Coeur d'Alene. We were able to spend a few days swimming, reading, playing games, having fun on the sea-doo….basically just relaxing with no agenda….the best kind of vacation! Harrison, ID was just across the bay from the cabin, so we motored over there a couple of times for some yummy cold ice cream cones. We weren’t very far from home, but it really felt like we got away!

.....And....LOTS of fresh cherries! I have even less ideas of what to do with all of these...except just eat them. Any ideas?!

Raspberries!

You know its July when there are lots and lots of yummy ripe raspberries to pick. I've already made a batch of jam....but I'm looking for more ways to use them........does anyone have any really great recipes that use fresh raspberries?

Happy 4th of July

The boys and I spent the 4th of July out at the cabin with my family (unfortunately, Leon had to work). We couldn't have asked for better weather. Beckett and Wyatt had a great time splashing around with their cousins. After a day of playing in the water, though, we were too tired to stay awake for fireworks.
